The most anticipated Union Cabinet reshuffle which is expected to take place on Wednesday is likely to steer some significant changes to the Yogi Adityanath cabinet in Uttar Pradesh.
According to Live Hindustan, the Chief Minister can expand his cabinet to accommodate allies and strike a balance between caste equations and deal with displeasure reported amongst leaders in the party.
Reports say that fresh faces may join the Yogi cabinet and his government may take the Legislative Council to induct them in the government.
The Upper House of the Uttar Pradesh state legislature presently has four seats vacant.

The Council of Ministers in Uttar Pradesh can have a strength of 60 members.
With the death of leaders - Chetan Chauhan, Kamal Rani Varun and Vijay Kashyap, there are six vacancies in the state cabinet.
Today evening, the Modi cabinet will see an expansion and if a minister from UP can make it to the Union Cabinet, the leader will likely get adjusted in the state cabinet.
The chief of BJP ally Apna Dal, Anupriya Patel, has a huge chance of getting a place in the Union Cabinet. If not her, then her husband Ashish Patel could get a place in the Yogi cabinet, said sources.
Sanjay Nishad, who founded the Nishad Party, may also land in the UP cabinet.
The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is working towards balancing the cabinet in Uttar Pradesh, where elections will take place next year.
Last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met chief minister Yogi Adityanath in Delhi where a discussion to expand the cabinet is believed to have taken place.
Wednesday's Union Cabinet expansion will be Modi's first one after him taking up the Prime Minister's office in 2019 for the second tenure.

Political buzz says that the reshuffle was intensified after a series of meetings was held between PM Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and BJP president JP Nadda in the national capital on Tuesday.
