Mumbai: Narayan Rane began his two-day Jan Ashirwad Yatra today in Mumbai, in an attempt to connect out to the people of the state. He left at 11:45 a.m. from Andheri. Many BJP ministers, including Devendra Fadnavis, Pravin Darekar, Ashish Shelar, and others, took part in the Jan Ashirwad Yatra. Later in the day, Rane will pay a visit to the late Bal Thackeray's memorial at Dadar's Shivaji Park.He'll also pay a visit to the B R Ambedkar Memorial in Dadar.and the Siddhivinayak Temple.
During the Jan Ashirwad Yatra, senior BJP minister Rane will travel 650 kilometres via Sindhudurg and Ratnagiri districts in the coastal Konkan area, crisscross Mumbai, and extensively cover Vasai-Virar.
Narayan Rane's appointment to the Union cabinet is viewed as a strategic move by the BJP in the Konkan area, which includes Mumbai and its suburbs, to oppose the Shiv Sena. Rane, who began his political career with the Shiv Sena, was ousted from the party in 2005 by then-president Uddhav Thackeray. He eventually became a member of Congress.
