New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday sought the presence of a ''responsible'' Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officer to apprise it about the probe in the Unnao rape case by noon.
A bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, directed a ''responsible'' officer from the investigating agency to appear before it at 1200 hrs.

"We are seeking a status report from the CBI officer by 12 today. We will hear the matter today at 12 pm," the bench added.
