Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday stated that the arrest of the Bengaluru activists Disha Ravi is an attack on democracy. “Arrest of 21 yr old Disha Ravi is an unprecedented attack on Democracy. Supporting our farmers is not a crime,” Kejriwal wrote on Twitter.
The Bengaluru based activist Disha Ravi has been accused of being one of the editors of a toolkit that according to Delhi police was a ‘conspiracy’ behind the farmers’ tractor rally violence during the Republic Day celebrations. She was arrested by the cybercrime unit of the Delhi Police from Bengaluru on Saturday and Sunday was sent to police custody by a Delhi court for five days.
The police have alleged that Ravi shared the toolkit with Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg, who posted it on Twitter, and later deleted it on the directions of the former after “its incriminating details accidentally got into the public domain”.

The Delhi police also accused Disha of reviving and collaborating with the pro-Khalistani Poetic Justice Foundation and of spreading hatred against India.
However, Disha during the hearing broke down and denied allegations of conspiring against the government and the country and She said she edited “just two lines” as she supported the farmers. She claimed she had nothing to do with the R-Day violence.
