Dussehra 2022 Ravan Dahan Timing: Here's Date, subhmuhurat, vidhi and significance of Vijaydashmi
With the completion of Navratri i.e. 9 days festival of worshiping the 9 avatars of Goddess Durga, it is now time for India to celebrate Lord Shri Ram's victory over the 'Asura' King Ravan. Dussehra, also known as Vijaydashmi or Ravan Dahan, is celebrated on the last or the 10th day of the Ashwini month. Dussehra marks the victory of good over evil as it marks the victory of Lord Rama over the demon king Ravan. To be precise, Lord Ram killed the demon king Ravan with the help of his 'monkey' army and conquered 'Lanka' (now called Sri Lanka). Not only this, but he also freed his wife Sita from Ravan who had kidnapped her when they (Ram, Laxman, and Sita) were serving Vanvas (living in the forest)
