UPSC prelims 2021 recruitment notifications today, exam will be held on 27th June

If the notification for Civil Services prelims gets released on Wednesday, candidates will be able to register for the same from today itself

The examination for the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the civil service prelims exam (CSE) 2021 will be held on June 27. 

In a notification issued, UPSC stated, “CS(P)E-2021 (including IFoS(P)E-2021) shall be conducted as per already declared schedule on 27.06.2021. Detailed Notifications for CSE-2021 and IFoSE-2021 shall be published in due course.” 

The candidates can apply for exams through the website- upsc.gov.in.

The preliminary exam has paper-I and II. In the objective type, multiple choice questions are asked that hold a total of 400 marks. 

To qualify the general studies paper – II, a candidate has to get a minimum of 33 per cent marks.

There is negative marking for every question and is one-third of the marks assigned to that question. 


Paper-I has questions from seven different test areas like:-

1) Science and Technology

2) history and culture

3) geography 

4) Indian Polity

5) Indian economy

6) environment and ecology 

7) current events of national and international importance

 

UPSC Civil Services 2021 notification

As per the official annual calendar for the year 2021, the UPSC Civil Services notification will be issued on February 10, 2021, i.e. today. The notification can come anytime now. 

Besides this, the Indian Forest Service prelims exam 2021 notification will also be issued today on the UPSC official website. 

 

Late date to apply

Eligible Candidates can apply for the exam till March 2, 2021. 

 

Eligibility criteria

Candidates who wish to appear for the UPSC Civil Services examinations should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognised university. 

Details relating to age limit and other educational qualifications will be mentioned on the official UPSC Civil Services notification. 

Appearing candidates can also check the UPSC Civil Services syllabus on the official website.

For the age limit, a candidate should be minimum of 21 years and the upper age limit is 32 years. 

All the candidates wishing to appear for the UPSC Civil Services exams are advised to read the notification once released and look at the UPSC Civil Services syllabus before applying in the UPSC Civil Services 2021 exam.
