Illness seems to not leave us anytime soon. Amid the Coronavirus pandemic still rating several parts of the world, recently the US diplomats have reported having suffered from similar symptoms similar to the mysterious brian illness known as 'Havana Syndrome'.

As per reports, over 20 officials have reported the symptoms since the beginning of the year.

Austria and the US are now investigating the illness reports.

The syndrome, which was first found in Cuba a few years ago, has since then reappeared in some parts of the world, including the United States.

The causes for the illness are still unidentified. Former President Donald Trump had accused Cuba of doing unspecified attacks on the officials that caused the symptoms in 2017.

The US researchers speculate that it may be caused by directed microwave radiation.

What are the symptoms of Havana syndrome?

Victims of the Havana syndrome complained of wide-ranging symptoms from dizziness, loss of balance, hearing loss and anxiety to something dubbed as "cognitive fog".

Reports also say that some victims could get rid of the symptoms by physically moving their bodies elsewhere. Others who were afflicted by Havana Syndrome were diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries and continue to suffer years later.

A CNN report that quotes Austrian and US officials said that both countries are investigating the reports from Vienna.

"In coordination with our partners across the US Government, we are vigorously investigating reports of possible unexplained health incidents among the US Embassy Vienna community or wherever they are reported," a spokesperson from the US State Department was quoted as saying last week.

In the last few years, several cases have been reported from different locations, however, US officials say that the Vienna cluster is the largest in any city apart from Havana.
