In a sensational development, the United States of America (USA) on Saturday shot down an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) in the fourth military operation of its kind this month. Pentagon confirmed the reports of shooting down a UFO in American airspace. Notably, the US military shot down the UFO and drowned it near Lake Huron, close to the Canadian border. As per Pentagon's briefing, US President Joe Biden had ordered the operation after the UFO interfered with commercial air traffic as it was traveling at 20,000ft (6,100m). The UFO was first detected above military sites in Montana on Saturday. The object, which was not deemed a military threat, has been described by defence officials as an unmanned "octagonal structure" with strings attached to it. It was downed by a missile fired from an F-16 fighter jet. Now, multiple unconfirmed US UFO videos are doing rounds on social media with the Americans sharing it on a large scale.
Sharing an unconfirmed video, a user wrote, "Unconfirmed footage of unidentified object hovering over #LakeHuron between Michigan and Ontario, as another object has been shot down."

Another user wrote, "The takeaway from the UFOs being shot down over Lake Michigan & Lake Huron today is that Ohio has been poisoned, not by aliens but by our own government. Animals are dying. The toxins are in our ground and water. This affects us all, not just Ohio."
"An F-16 shot down the object over Lake Huron The object was octagon shaped and was flying at an altitude of 20,000 ft, posing a threat to civilian air traffic," wrote another user.

'Aliens angle not ruled out'
US officials restricted the airspace over Lake Michigan on Sunday citing a potential new threat to national security, as the United States and Canada respond to a series of recent air intrusions The US Air Force general overseeing North American airspace said on Sunday after a series of shoot-downs of unidentified objects that he would not rule out aliens or any other explanation yet, deferring to US intelligence experts. Asked whether he had ruled out an extraterrestrial origin for three airborne objects shot down by US warplanes in as many days, General Glen VanHerck during press briefing said, "I'll let the intel community and the counterintelligence community figure that out. I haven't ruled out anything."
"At this point we continue to assess every threat or potential threat, unknown, that approaches North America with an attempt to identify it," said VanHerck, head of US North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and Northern Command.
It is pertinent to mention here that last week, The United States government logged more than 350 new reports of UFOs—or, as officials call them, “unidentified aerial phenomena” (UAP)—since March 2021, according to a report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). Of the 366 new UAP records, more than half were listed as having “unremarkable characteristics,” with 163 characterized as “balloon or balloon-like entities.” The other “unremarkable” sightings were characterized as drones or drone-like objects or attributed to clutter like airborne plastic bags, weather events or birds.
