Navratri is a special occasion for the devotees of Maa Vaishno Devi, people fast and perform special puja during the Navratri. It would be icing on the cake if people get an opportunity to worship Maa Vishno Devi at the temple in Jammu’s Katra town.
Now, the Shrine Board has opened the doors for the devotees for the public after staying shut for darshan during the COVID-19 induced lockdown, Maa Vaishno Devi devotees would be able to come and visit the temple.

Ramesh Kumar, CEO of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, recently addressed the media, saying that the shrine board is now preparing SOP for public darshan. The plan is to allow darshan to only 5000 to 7000 devotees every day, and it would be mandatory to do online registration before reaching Katra.
They will be asked to furnish valid COVID-19 test certificates. All the pilgrims will be divided into small groups for the darshan to maintain enough distance among them. It would be compulsory to wear masks to cover the mouth. Hand sanitizers will be placed at every location, he further informed.

Some special flights have been arranged by the SpiceJet flights, which would take passengers from Amritsar to Jammu from October 10, rest journey would be covered by the devotees by road.

As per the schedule released by the flight company, a flight would take off from the Sri Ramdas International Airport, Amritsar at 10:40 am every day from October 10 and would land in Jammu at 11:35 am. A Similar flight would take off from Jammu at 12:05 pm and would land in Amritsar at 1:05 pm.
The company has capped the amount for the flight, passengers would pay Rs 2,500 for the flight from Amritsar to Jammu and Rs 2,000 for the flight from Jammu to Amritsar.
