Vande Bharat Express' ticket fares have been reduced by a small margin for the CC from Rs 1,850 to Rs 1,760 and to Rs 3,310 from Rs 3,520 for the EC, said a Railways order.
Vande Bharat Express is India's fastest train which has been developed indigenuously. The train is set to run from Delhi to Varanasi and was named 'Train 18' earlier.
The design of the Vande Bharat Express is just like a bullet-train having 16 coaches and a capacity to accomodate 1,128 passengers. Vande Bharat Express is the first of its kind in the country running without a locomotive engine. It has 16 air-conditioned coaches and is equipped with many advanced features.
During an emergency, the train operator can be called from any coach using the advance Passenger Emergency Communication Unit.
Also there is a lot of space available in connecting two compartments in Vande Bharat Express making it safer to go from one coach to the other.
It is equipped with modern CCTV cameras, LCD TVs and foldable tables.
