Vedaa is an Indian Hindi language action drama film. It is directed by Nikkhil Advani. It is produced by Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment and JA Entertainment. This action drama film stars John Abraham as former Major Abhimanyu Kanwar, Sharvari as Vedaa Berwa, Abhishek Banerjee as Jitendar Pratap Singh and Ashish Vidyarthi as Kaka. Tamannaah Bhatia has also seen playing a cameo role in the movie.

The film is inspired by true events. In an interview, Director Nikkhil Advani said, “Vedaa is not just a film. It's inspired from real events and is a reflection of our society and pushes the boundaries of reality. Working with John, Sharvari and Abhishek Banerjee has been an incredible experience and I'm glad to finally announce the release date and fingers crossed the audiences gets moved the way we all did when we first heard the story of Vedaa.”
Vedaa was released on 15th August 2024 coinciding with Independence Day. It collected Rs 6.52 crore on its opening day at the domestic box office. The film has grossed more than Rs 25.93 crore at the worldwide box office.

This action-packed movie is now all set to release on OTT platform. Vedaa is likely start streaming on 11th or 12th October on ZEE5.
The shooting of the film began on 20th June 2023 in Rajasthan. The shoot got wrapped up in Kashmir in December 2023. After a few modifications, the movie was granted a U/A certificate on 6th August 2024, with a final runtime of 151 minutes.
John Abraham said in a podcast, “You cannot argue with me on this point when I tell you that women, children and animals are not safe in India. Do a debate with me, but can you really debate this? You cannot... it is sad. Because I love India. I am an India lover. It is very important that I criticise India. There is a difference between patriotism and jingoism.”
