The former Chief Minister of Punjab, Charanjeet Singh Channi, was recently called by the Vigilance Bureau (VB) over his disproportionate assets matter.
During his 7-hour questioning, the former CM was asked more than 50 questions, which included his recent 9-month visit to America, his expenditure, and who funded him. He was also questioned about his alleged involvement in illegal sand mining in Mohali and Anandpur Sahib, as well as the ED raid conducted at his nephew's house, where ₹10 crore were found. Furthermore, he was asked about his assets before and after becoming the CM of Punjab, among many other things.

Sources indicate that the VB is not satisfied with Channi's answers and has expressed dissatisfaction with his responses. As a result, the Bureau is about to call him again after 20 April to ask more questions on the same matter.
However, Channi has called all this a political vendetta. He claimed that the current AAP government is treating him worse than even the Mughals and is trying to use every possible way to humiliate and defame him.
