The UK Home Office has finally approved the extradition of Vijay Mallya to India, reported the spokesperson of UK Home Office.
"On February 3, the Secretary of State, having carefully considered all relevant matters, signed the orders for Vijay Mallya's extradition to India," said UK Home Office spokesperson.
The UK body also accepted that the charges of defraud and money laundering against Vijay Mallya are true and he must be sent back to India for the further action in the case.
The Indian agencies got a major breakthrough on December 10, 2018 when the Westminster Magistrate found merit in the charges levied against Mallya.
Then it was forwarded to the UK Home Office and they have decided to approve the extradition.
