In a surfaced video, Punjab’s CM Channi can be seen walking towards an injured bike rider and asking him if he is alright and fit to walk.
Punjab’s CM was going for a rally to Ludhiana from Chandigarh in his motorcade. It was then that he spotted the youth fallen on the roadside curb. Channi then stopped his motorcade, got down and started walking towards him. In the brief emotional video, the CM can be seen asking the escorting ambulance to reverse towards the fallen man.
It is not for the first time that Channi in his 111 days as the CM of Punjab has carried out such humanitarian activities.
In a press conference, he was quoted saying “I welcome the instructions given by the EC. Till now we were only a working government, now we will start thinking about elections. With folded hands, I would like to thank the people of Punjab and congress for considering me worthy to be a chief minister for 111 days”
So far the party has not announced a chief ministerial candidate.
