Kaswan shared a clip of a melanistic leopard aka black panther sitting on a tree in all its glory and it reminded us of Bagheera from Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. Bagheera is a fictional character in the book. He is a black panther who is Mowgli's friend and protector.
Kaswan captioned the video, "You remember that #Bagheera from Jungle Book? Here it is. They are not separate species but melanistic common #leopard only. Found from Kabini to Darjeeling in #India. Beauty captured by Harsha Narasimhamurthy."
