After winning a historic gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, Neeraj Chopra, a 23-year-old lad from Panipat, Haryana, has become an overnight sensation. Chopra's 87.58-meter throw in the men's javelin final made him the first Indian athlete to earn an Olympic medal in Track & Field.
Chopra has been giving interviews, attending different events, and exposing many facts about himself that most people were unaware of before then. Neeraj Chopra recently professed his admiration for Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda in an interview, adding that he had seen many of his films. He specifically mentioned the film 'Laal Rang,' in which Randeep Hooda, who is also from Harayan, played a Haryanvi character and according to Chopra he got the authentic Haryanvi accent in the film. Chopra showered admiration on the actor in this video, which Randeep Hooda, the actor uploaded on social media. Hooda captioned it saying, "बाऊजी बाऊजी @Neeraj_chopra1 हवा मै परनाम बाऊजी. आजा कदे, तेरा जुखाम ठीक करावाँ #NeerajChopra #LaalRang.”
