On Saturday, a red panda was rescued into the forest from a river in the Shi-Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh. This video has been now all over the internet and has won the hearts of netizens.
It is a 22 seconds long video in which a red panda can be seen in a cage. The forest officials brought the panda in a cage and left it open so that the panda could jump into the forest. After a little bit of hustle and help, the panda finally jumped out and ran into the wilderness.

The video was first shared by an Indian Forest Service Officer, Ramesh Pandey. The credit for the video was given to the Arunachal Times, the video has over 40,000 views. While sharing the video, Ramesh Pandey wrote a caption that read, “Happiness of releasing of a rescued Red Panda in Arunachal Pradesh. A heartwarming video before calling it a day.”

Reportedly, the panda was released by Tony Mosing and Takar Kotin Mosu from the Yargyap-Chu River in the Mechuka sub-division of the district. Both saw the panda clinging to a log and handed over the panda to the Mechuka Range Forest Officer (RFO) Tanga Murtem. As a token of appreciation, a cash price was given to the rescuers.
Many netizens also praised the saviors, which saved the Panda and commented, “Brilliant”, “Wonderful”, “Lovely” and “Well done team RFO Mechuka!”
