En route to his 100-mark Virat also bettered the record of Mahela Jayawardene to enter the list of elite featuring in the top 5 highest run scorers in ODI cricket history. He is now only behind the all-time great batter Sachin Tendulkar, Kumar Sangakkara, Ricky Pointing, and Sanath Jayasuriya.
As soon as Kohli hit 63 runs, he crossed the Sri Lankan legend's 12650 ODI runs to rank fifth in the list which is topped by Sachin Tendulkar with 18426 ODI runs.
