In shocking news for the Pandya brothers, their father Himanshu Pandya on Saturday passed away due to cardiac arrest. Pandya's father's death came at a time when Krunal was busy captaining Baroda in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament. Following this, Krunal left the bio-bubble of Syed Mushtaq and directly headed to home. This means Krunal will no longer be part of the ongoing tournament.
After the news went public, many cricketers offered condolences. Virat Kohli even shared his memory with Pandya's father. Hardik has often talked about his father in interviews. Both Krunal and Hardik were quite close to their father.
Virat took to Twitter and wrote, "Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Hardik and Krunal's dad. Spoke to him a couple of times, looked a joyful and full of life person. May his soul rest in peace. Stay strong you two. @hardikpandya7 @krunalpandya24."
