The speculations around Virat Kohli's absence reason from the India vs England Test series have been reaching heights. Virat Kohli pulled out his name from Team India's test squad for the five-match Test series against England. BCCI issued a statement saying that the Indian Cricket Board supports the 35-year-old cricketer's decision. In their statement, BCCI revealed that Virat Kohli talked to Rohit Sharma and the board. Then only, after BCCI's support, did Kohli pull out from the INDvsENG Test series. As a result, fans and English media started to wonder what could be Virat Kohli's personal reasons. Now, it has been reported that Virat Kohli is currently in London along with his wife Anushka. Reports further suggest that Virat Kohli will welcome his second child with Anushka in London.
It all started after industrialist Harsh Goenka took to his X handle and claimed that a baby is going to be born in a few days. Without mentioning Virat or Anushka, Goenka wrote, “A new baby is to be born in the next few days! Hope the baby takes India to great heights like the greatest cricketing father. Or will it follow the mother and be a film star?” Goenka also used the hashtags ‘Made In India’ and ‘To Be Born In London’. This left everyone convinced that the industrialist was talking about Anushka and Virat. Notably, Anushka Sharma's exact delivery date has not been revealed but if Goenka's claim is true then the Bollywood actress will become a mother for the second time in the next few days.
Apart from this, former South African cricketer and Virat Kohli's pal, AB de Villiers on his YouTube channel revealed that the Team India player is all set to be a father again. "Yes, his second child is on the way. Yes, it’s family time and things are important to him. If you are not true and genuine to yourself, you lose track of what you are here for. I think most people’s priority is family. You can’t judge Virat for that. Yes, we miss him, but he has made the right decision,” said de Villiers. However, after the news went viral, de Villiers retracted his statement saying that he might have peddled fake news.
Notably, Anushka Sharma's second pregnancy rumors first sparked in October 2023. A leading daily claimed that Anushka was expecting her second child with husband Virat Kohli. "Anushka is expecting her second baby. Like the last time, they will formally share the news with the world at a later stage,” a source was quoted saying.
