Team India's former cricket coach, Ravi Shastri on Fox Sports after Virat Kohli's century revealed a never heard before story. Shastri shared that Virat Kohli requested him to get BCCI's nod so that his 'girlfriend' Anushka Sharma could be with him at the Border-Gavaskar trophy.
"When I was the coach in 2015, he (Virat Kohli) wasn’t married then. He was dating Anushka. He came and said, ‘Only wives are allowed. Can I get my girlfriend in here?’ I said sure. He said, ‘No, the board isn’t allowing it’. I made the call and she came. She joined and in the first game, he got 160. Then the same scenes, the flying kiss went up, just like yesterday. She is a big support for him," said Ravi Shastri.
