New Delhi: On Thursday, Actor Vivek Oberoi and the producer of his upcoming flick 'PM Narendra Modi' met the Election Commission responding to the notice issued to the producers of the biopic based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The notice was issued after objections raised by opposition parties regarding the release of the movie during election period.
Sources said that the both Vivek and the producer Sandeep Singh had discussed with the poll officials regarding the release date of the film. ‘PM Narendra Modi’ was to hit the theatres on April 5, almost a week before the Lok Sabha polls which will begin from April 11. Opposition parties criticise that the release of the movie during election time is violation of Model Code of Conduct.
