At weddings, the bridegroom reaches the wedding venue with a pompous procession and the newly wedded bride leaves the house with large pomp. Recently, a video of a unique wedding is going viral on social media. This viral video is from the Samastipur’s Gobarsittha village of Bihar.
The video shows that bridegroom reached to take the bride to the bride’s house by riding on the boat instead of a horse and after the farewell, the bride also returned in the boat.

Here’s the reason why procession came and departure on the boat and not on the horse:
It is because of heavy rains that the roads of Samastipur’s Gobharsittha village were converted into the rivers and there was no land transport possible. The entire village was flooded due to the increase in the water level of the Bagmati River. Therefore, the bridegroom and his family decided to reach the bride’s house on the boats. The procession was reached by arranging three boats.

On this viral video, many people taunted the Bihar Government and one of the netizens sarcastically commented, “Destination Wedding Promoted by Govt. (a heart emoticon)” another commented, “We Indians deserve a Better standard of life,” and the third user commented, “Govt chahe koi bhi ho but Bihar mai development nhi ho sakta.”
