Opposition leaders have been seen pretesting against several laws and issues interrupt g the proceedings of the parliament's monsoon session. Farm laws that were passed last year by the Modi cabinet, has been drawing huge backlashes from not only farmers but Opposition leaders have shown their displeasure for the same.
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal who was protesting outside the Parliament against the three contentious farm laws, offered a stalk of wheat to BJP MP Hema Malini who was seen entering the House on Tuesday.
Handing the wheat strand to the actor-turned-politician, Kaur asked her to support the farmers in their cause.
In the video that was shared by the news agency ANI, the Punjab leader was seen offering wheat stalks to the Malini, along with raising slogans in support of the farmers and holding a placard. She also patted Hema Malini’s shoulder while asking her to understand the pain of the farmers.
Hema Malini was also taken by surprise when MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal overturned her placard and claimed "Hema Ji supports farmers".

The SAD and BSP MPs have been protesting outside the Parliament over the Centre's three contentious farm laws. The demands have been to revoke the laws as this would cause more exploitation of the farmers.
Parliament Monsoon session has been blocked and interrupted with frequent shouting and Opposition leaders walking out of the house. Since the first two weeks of the Monsoon session, the Opposition has been showing its displeasure over the centre not discussing the Pegasus snooping row and farm laws along with several other issues.
On Tuesday morning, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had hosted a breakfast meeting with Opposition leaders from 18 parties to plan over the parliament offensive to draft a joint policy on the Pegasus issue.
