As winter waves reel Delhi with rains pouring in parts of the national capital for the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday, farmers at the protesting site are making arrangements to protect themselves from biting cold.
The protests against the three farm laws near Delhi borders has reached its 40th-day, farmers have been braving the chilling cold and now the irregular rains. These farmers are now installing waterproof makeshift tents at the protest location as they declared to intensify the agitation further.
Farmers are making arrangements to set up waterproof tents for shelter for protesters at Delhi’s Singhu border after some tents at the protest site collapsed and rainwater entered others, soaking firewood and their clothes. Fogging machines have also reached Singhu border to deal with diseases caused due to waterlogging.
Farmers have said that they are prepared to fight a long battle with the government, as they are giving them only dates and failing to end the deadlock.
Thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana and some other parts of the country have been camping at several Delhi border points since November 28, demanding the repeal of the farm laws.

Even as they suspended Wednesday's proposed tractor march over a bad weather forecast, farmers affirmed that their agitation will intensify in the coming days.
The deadlock continues as the seventh round of talks with the Centre remained inconclusive, with the farmer groups remained adamant to scrap the farm laws whereas the Centre assuring them about the various benefits the new farm bills will give them.
