West Bengal HS Result 2021: WBCHSE class 12th result to be out today

West Bengal HS result would be declared by the WBCHSE chief at 3 pm and students can check their scorecards from 4 pm onwards at wbresults.nic.in.

West Bengal Board would announce the result of Class 12th or Uchha Madhyamik, Higher Secondary (HS) today. The result would be announced by the chief of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) at 3 pm and the link for the student’s scorecard would be activated at 4 pm at the official website – wbresults.nic.in.

The alternative evaluation scheme was followed by the board because the board examination was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The result would be based on the performance of the students in two grades – Class 10th and Class 11th. The WB HS Result is based on the 60:40 formula. 60 percent marks would be given according to the marks of the student in class 11th annual exams and 40 percent marks would be given based on marks in Class 10th.

West Bengal HS Result 2021: Grading System of WBCHSE

  • Students with 100 to 90 marks would get “distinction or O”
  • Students with 89 to 70 marks would get “A+ (A plus)” Students with marks in the 60s would get “first division”
  • Students with marks in the 50s (or 50 percent marks) would get “second division”.
  • Students with 49 to 34 marks would get “third division”
  • Students with less than 34 marks (or less than 35 percent) would appear for improvement papers.

West Bengal HS Result 2021: How to check via Digilocker and SMS

Following are the steps which must be followed to check the result via Digilocker:

Step 1: Visit the online portal.

Step 2: Homepage would appear, click to the ‘sign in’ button present in the upper left corner.

Step 3: Enter all the required credentials, like Aadhar Card number, name, date of birth, mobile number, to create a six-digit security pin.

Step 4: Set a username and submit all the details. A Digilocker account would be created. 

Following are the steps which must be followed to check results via SMS:

Step 1: Type WB12 and then roll number or registration number.

Step 2: Send to 54242 or 5676750 or 56262. 

This facility would be available once the result is declared. 

Principals and the head of the schools can collect the mark sheets from the distribution camps. There are a total of 52 distribution centres. Students can collect their mark sheets from the school on July 23 along with transfer certificates, character certificates and school leaving certificates. 

This year, the board has denied releasing the list of toppers and merit list of the class 12th or HS. As per the statement released by the board, the merit list would not be released as Class 12th board exams are not conducted. 

Class 10th result was released recently, 100 percent of students were passed and students of class 12th are also hoping for a positive result.
