While India-Canada relations continue to get bitter day by day, Justin Trudeau has been getting slammed not only by Indians but also by a section of Canadians. While India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday clearly stated that they are yet to get any proof or evidence that Justin Trudeau talked about in the House of Commons accusing New Delhi's role in the assassination of a Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Apart from India, the Canadian Opposition Minister Pierre Poilievre also asked Justin Trudeau to make the intel or evidence public. Even the Canadian media asked Trudeau point blank about the evidence against India in the HJardeep Singh Nijjar killing, but the Canadian PM reiterated his point that the investigative agency is still working on it to bring the preparatory to justice. Now, the Canadian media CBC News has alleged that the pieces of evidence against India are leaked documents and transcripts.
Leah West, Associate Professor of International Affairs and National Security Law at Carleton University, talking to the Canadian media said, "I was dumbfounded, it was truly unprecedented. The fact that you have a Prime Minister stand on the floor of the House of Commons and reveal publically for the first time that someone from the Canadian Sikh Community has been targeted and killed. They believe it was the Indian Government. The government which has just finished the hosting G20 Summit. It's first on many fronts."
When the anchor asked why the Canadian government make the intelligence or evidence public, Leah said, "We are having those caveats because a document has been leaked or a transcript of a conversation has been leaked and we are trying to find out the relevance or credibility of that piece and therefore we are trying to urge caution."
Not only this, an Indian journalist named Rohit Sharma quoted the Canadian media saying, "...Canadian government are in possession of an Indian diplomats' communications in the #Nijjar case. It also claims the intelligence did not come solely from Canada. Some was provided by an unnamed ally in the Five Eyes intelligence alliance."

Well, what the reality is can only be revealed if Canada shares intel or evidence that links India to the assassination of Hardeep Nijjar, the most wanted in India. Till then, the accusations against India by Canada are mere statements that are believed to be made for local political gains.
Pierre Poilievre had reacted to the Canadian PM's accusation on India by saying, "The prime minister hasn't provided any facts. He provided a statement. And I will just emphasize that he didn't tell me any more in private than he told Canadians in public. So we want to see more information..We need to have the evidence that drew that allowed the prime minister to come to the conclusions he made yesterday..I would have to have more evidence to make a judgment on that. I do find it interesting that he knew about vast foreign interference by Beijing for many years, at the same time as Beijing had kept two Canadian citizens hostage. And he said nothing. And he did nothing. Just very interesting that that was the approach he took in that case."
