What happened to Parag Desai?
Businessman Parag Desai suffered severe injuries when he was trying to ward off street dogs. A security guard outside his house informed his family members about the stray dog attack following which the Bagh Wakri scion was rushed to Shelby Hospital. After a day of observation at Shelby Hospital, the 49-year-old businessman was transferred to Zydus Hospital for a surgical procedure. However, Desai succumbed to brain haemorrhage during the course of treatment on Sunday.

Who was Parag Desai?
Parag Desai was the son of Rasesh Desai, the managing director of the Wagh Bakri Tea Group. Born in 1947, Rasesh Desai, the third-generation entrepreneur, has built Wagh Bakri into India's third-largest packaged tea brand. Talking about Parag's education, he had an MBA degree from Long Island University USA. He headed the sales, marketing and export departments for the group.
Wagh Bakri was started by Narandas Desai in 1892. Currently, the packaged tea company has a turnover of Rs 2,000 crore.
