The third annual World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) in Milwaukee is all set to take place on June, 24 at 4p.m. According to the organizers as quoted by US portals, the annual WNBR event promotes body positivity, cyclist awareness and energy independence in Milwaukee Wisconsin. This event is seen more like a peaceful protest of around 13-15 mile pre-planned bike ride in the streets of Milwaukee Wisconsin. The ride is legitimate as a first amendment protest as long as participants refrain from engaging in vulgar or "untoward" behaviour. Since the police view the bike ride as a protest, the riders are "on their own." If necessary, there will be a follow car with medical assistance. To ensure that everyone may feel comfortable while bicycling around Milwaukee with the wind at their backs, alcohol and inappropriate behaviour are prohibited at the event.
What does the ride signify?
The informal tagline of the event is "less gas, more ass," and the organisers believe that by being completely transparent, the negative effects of fossil fuels and climate change will be more clearly understood. The incident also emphasises the necessity of safe bike and walking lanes in metropolitan areas and the significance of pedestrian visibility. The popularity of this bike ride grew quickly with 28 bike rides across the globe in 2004 and 74 in 2010. The event is organised to help people shed their insecurities and celebrate their bodies.

It is not a compulsion to be naked. People can remove as much clothing as they are comfortable with. Anyone can join this ride as there is no entry fee. The event is sustained and supported by the community donations. People are allowed to bring their own bike or rent one. No cars are allowed.
Where will the bike ride take place?
The route for the event was uploaded on the website a few days ago. Bikers will start at Kochanski’s Concertina Beer Hall where they will be greeted by five bands, 20 vendors, food trucks and body painters. Riders will then head east on Burnham Street making their way onto Water and Brady streets, looping through Veterans Park before returning to the beer hall.
