Now, fans are wondering why Kapil Sharma's Netflix show The Great Indian Kapil Show has been facing legal trouble. Below is everything you need to know-

Kapil Sharma Ekla Cholo Re Controversy Explained

The controversy erupted after the team of Do Patti attended The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. Actors like Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh attended the show. During the show, comedian Krushna Abhishek impersonating as Jackie Shroff performed a skit and altered Rabindranath Tagore’s iconic song of 'Ekla Cholo Re'. Krushna replaced the word 'Ekla' with 'Pachla' implying 'walk with five people.' The comedian further joked that walking alone attracts dogs. Although this made his audience laugh in the episode, it didn’t sit well with the Bengali community.

Taking to his Facebook handle, a Bengali Poet named Srijato Bandyopadhyay in detailed note in Bengali wrote, "(Translated version) I am a fan of actor and comedian Kapil Sharma. Talent, hard work, perseverance, fight, nothing was short of him. That is why there is no shortage of fame, fame, money or establishment today. I love it when this happens. This fairytale rise, this road to palace tour. His contribution behind taking comedian to another dimension on television or OTT screen is undeniable, artistic and commercial, both context.

Of course he's not alone, it takes many heads together to produce this kind of big events, which can protect a huge worker from different directions and move together. For many years, Kapil has been able to organize a team like himself. There are very few stars in various mediums from home and abroad, who haven't yet been to his program. As the contribution of all the invited people to make this event a success, so is the contribution of Kapil Sharma's fellow artists, whose jokes in each episode makes this event more colorful and spectacular.

This time the color has gone a bit too much, so writing. I have performed several shows for television many times, so I know, everything an artist or performer says on screen is his own brainstorm. There are multiple groups of writers to create scripts even in a small event, the program is arranged according to the screenplay, most of the words of the performers or artists also fall under the arranged script.

Kapil Sharma took his show to NETFLIX a few days ago from the television screen, which is currently broadcasted in hundreds of countries and trending is the number 1 show in India right now. While this is his fleet, I'm sure there are specific authors to screenplay this show and of course Kapil Sharma also has speech, addition and agreement on him. So if I borrow, they have committed a wrong recently knowingly or unknowingly. Not wrong, but wrong. I'm writing this article in primary to oppose her in clear language.

Five days ago, a new episode of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ was added to NETFLIX, with guests actress Kajol and Kriti Sanon. During the middle of that episode, one of Kapil's assistant artist or comedian Krishna Abhishek appeared (who writes his own name Krushna Abhishek), and perhaps he chose a song of Rabindranath as a mascara instrument after getting Kajol as a Bengali origin.

... but the sarcastic gestures and conversations Krishna Abhishek with the song 'Ekla Chalo Re' has gone far beyond the level of respect and modesty, at least in my eyes. The episode is in place, anyone can watch it if you want, and those who have already watched it, know well. I expressed my written allegations and objections against this ugly presentation. Complaint against all those who engaged in composition, presentation, endorsement and broadcasting that comedy scene. In explicit language, in the pronunciation.

There's a fine line between humor and joke, it's dangerous if it becomes blurry. People forget their limits at a time by being dedicated to TRP, what am I saying, whom am I talking about, how much am I talking about. Then you shouldn't have to remind him, this threshold. That's what I'm doing.

....I don't know what will cure this. The Bengalis whose deeds and deeds the whole world knows India at one time, this unwritten right of joking about them as they were not there. I don't know how many will be with me, but I'm protesting and demanding a public apology on behalf of 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'."

It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Mondal represented by legal advisor Nripendra Krishna Roy, claims that The Great Indian Kapil Show allegedly disparages the legacy of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and risks offending cultural and religious sentiments. Hence, a legal notice has been sent to Salman Khan as well as other associations of the show.
