After a struggle of almost 500 years, Ram Lalla's old and new idol was finally consecrated in the newly built Ayodhya Ramjanm Bhoomi Temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday participated in the auspicious Pran Pratishtha Event and formally inaugurated the Ra Temple for millions of Hindus around the world. Thousands of guests from all fraternities on Monday arrived in Ayodhya to witness the historic event including Bageshwar Dham’s Dhirendra Krishna Shastri. While at first Bageshwar Dham’s Dhirendra Krishna Shastri appealed to the Hindus to unite and abolish the caste system, later in another interview he talked about What's next after Ayodhya Ram Temple.
In an interview with a newswire, Bageshwar Dham’s Dhirendra Krishna Shastri said, "It (Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha) was a wonderful and joyous ceremony; this is the beginning of ‘Treta Yuga’. Now, the social evil of casteism will end in India, and we will move towards becoming a ‘Vishv Guru’ with new energy." When asked what's next after the Ram Temple, Shastri said, "Treta Yuga has arrived now Dwapar Yuga will come and we will go to Lord Krishna's Mahotsava." Although Dhirendra Krishna Shastri's remarks did not mention Mathura, but it was quite evident he was talking about the Mathura controversy.
For the unversed, there is a famous slogan of RSS and BJP that says, "Ayodhya toh bas jhanki hai, Kashi-Mathura baki hai (Ayodhya is a preview, Kashi and Mathura remain)."
The Mathura temple controversy is famously called the 'Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah case'. The Krishna Janmabhoomi case pertains to the disputed site in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura, where petitioners claim that the Shahi Idgah adjoining the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple in Mathura holds signs suggesting that it was a Hindu temple once.
The Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah case is the second temple-mosque dispute in which the high court has allowed to conduct a survey over the past months. In Mathura, Bal Krishna through Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta and others had filed a suit in the court of Civil Judge Senior Division (III) for shifting of the Shahi Masjid Idgah. They had claimed that the mosque was constructed on a part of the 13.37-acre land of the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Trust.
