Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of global tech giant META last month during a company’s event announced three new features that WhatsApp will bring, including the feature which will allow you to choose who can view if you are online.

With the latest proceedings on the development done the company is finally rolling out these features in the beta version for users.

The META-owned messenger informed through its blog post, “Seeing when friends or family are online helping us feel connected to one another, but we’ve all had times when we wanted to check our WhatsApp privately.

For the moments you want to keep your online presence private, we’re introducing the ability to select who can and can’t see when you’re online. This will start rolling out to all users this month.”

As per the WaBetalfo, the chat app will be releasing the features to the beta testers that will be installing the latest WhatsApp beta version for the Android 2.22.20.9 update.

In order to check whether or not you have received this feature, go to the settings, click on the Account option there, and then to the Privacy segment. If it flashes “Last seen and online” that will imply that the feature is available for your account. To enable the option select “same as last seen.”

The company recently also brought extra layers of protection in order to scale up the privacy of the platform, including the option enabling users to leave the chat group silently. Instead of the entire group, only the admins will know who has left the group.

In the major privacy development, the company has come up with the option that will disable people from taking screenshots of the photos or videos sent through the view only once option.

Apart from these, WhatsApp will be rolling out the option with which you will be able to send messages to yourself from the linked devices associated with the WhatsApp account, and the users can see their contact number while searching.
