The journey of a veteran host with its equally acclaimed game show “Wheel of Fortune” might soon be coming to an end as hinted by the former. Pat Sajak and his 40 years long stint with the game show is short-lived as reported by the American media.
"Years go by fast. We're getting near the end. It's been a long [time]. We're not going to do this for another 40 years. The end is near," the TV icon indicated.
The iconic show host went on to say, "It's an honor to have been in people's living rooms for that long. People were out there welcoming us. We're happy and proud."
The American game show first premiered in 1975, while Sajak’s stint with the show began in 1981, his co-host joined a year later. White has mostly been seen turning the letters during the show as contestants attempt to solve the riddle or puzzle that is assigned to them. The hosts have renewed their contract till the 2023-2024 season.
Sajak in his latest public appearance hinted at his future with the show saying, "In most television shows by this time, you would have said, 'That’s probably enough,' but this show will not die.”
Sajak’s daughter Maggie is also associated with the show as she majorly handles the social media outing of the show.’
Despite whatsoever coming ahead for the audience and show for Sajak the iconic duo will continue to host “Wheel of Fortune” as the show is slated to premiere its third season.
