Ranbir Kapoor Discusses his role in Animal
In contrast to who he is in real life, Ranbir's character in Animal is an "alpha" with grey regions. "This is unfamiliar territory for me. It is a crime drama as well as a father-son story. It's not something my audience expects me to do. It has grey tones to it. He is an alpha male, which I am not. As a result, I'm looking forward to it", said the actor. "It's completely out of my league. Such obstacles are vital as an actor because they truly shook me up. It forced me to work hard and recognize how insufficient I am and how much more I needed to strive to achieve a specific level," the actor told in an interview to a news agency.

Regarding the film's extended runtime, Ranbir Kapoor stated in a comment, "The story of 'Animal' requires this amount of time to reach the audience. The first cut entertained us for 3 hours and 49 minutes. Don't be alarmed by the duration; come experience film at its finest."

The plot of "Animal" occurs in organised crime, where loyalty, deceit, and power battles are prevalent. Rannvijay, who grew up underground, is eager to make his mark and become a formidable figure.
