International Cricket Council’s (ICC) T20 World Cup 2024 will be kicking off soon at various venues in the United States of America (USA) and the Caribbean. As such, fans are reeling with excitement as 20 teams duke it out for the ultimate glory across three venues in the US and six venues in the Caribbean.
The tournament for India will kick off on June 5 in New York against Ireland. However, the most awaited match is India v. Pakistan, as both teams will clash in Long Island for a monumental battle on June 9.
The US leg of the tournament features 16 matches across Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York. Whereas the Carribean leg of the tournament will feature 41 matches across six islands. The tournament will conclude in a momentous grand finale in Barbados on June 29. The first match will be on June 1 between the USA and Canada.
ICC T20 World Cup 2024 format:
The tournament features 4 groups of five teams each. The top two teams of the groups will go on to the Super 8 stage. This will feature knockout semi-finals and the grand finale.

The Indian T20 world cup team was revealed by the BCCI in Ahmedabad. Rohit Sharma will lead the team as captain, with Rishabh Pant as the primary wicket-keeper batsman alongside Sanju Samson. Hardik Pandya has been named the vice-captain.
