After receiving a bomb threat via email, the Summer Fields School in Delhi's Greater Kailash area was quickly evacuated this morning. Sent at midnight, the message alerted the recipient to an explosive device hidden on school property. The Delhi Police were notified immediately after the school authorities took prompt action, and they sent out a bomb squad and a dog squad to conduct a thorough investigation.

According to principal Shalini Agarwal, students were evacuated within ten minutes of the email's arrival, following standard operating procedures. Despite the seriousness of the threat, the search turned up nothing suspicious. The authorities have deemed the threat to be false, and the school has been cleared.

This incident is part of a troubling trend, as on May 1, over 100 schools across Delhi-NCR received similar bomb threat emails. The Delhi Police later confirmed these threats were false. Additionally, recent weeks have seen threats targeting various institutions, including hospitals and airports.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has labeled these threats as hoaxes, following investigations that revealed no credible danger.

Among the affected hospitals were Dada Dev Hospital, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Hindu Rao Hospital, and Aruna Asaf Ali Government Hospital.
Each location underwent comprehensive searches, resulting in no findings of suspicious activity.

The email sent to Summer Fields School claimed a bomb had been planted the previous day. The Delhi Police, after conducting a meticulous search with bomb detection teams and canine units, confirmed that the threat was unfounded.
Further investigations are ongoing, including potential international links, as similar threats have been traced to Budapest, Hungary.

As the school day resumed, Principal Agarwal expressed gratitude for the swift response from both the police and the community, noting that the situation was managed efficiently and safely.
