The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday announced the much-awaited Civil Services Examination's final results. The UPSC Civil Service Prelims Examination 2023 was held on May 28. Candidates who cleared the Prelims round were eligible to appear for the Mains examination, which took place on September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24, 2023, in two shifts – from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm. UPSC CSE Mains result was announced on December 8. UPSC CSE 2023 Results confirmed that Aditya Srivastava topped the exam. In terms of woman UPSC CSE 2023 topper it was Donuru Ananya Reddy. Now, the question arises who is Aditya Srivastava, USPC CSE 2023 topper?
Who is Aditya Srivastava?
A journalist named Aakash Ghosh took to his official handle on X and revealed that Aditya Srivastava, topper of the USPC Civil Service Examination 2023 is from CMS Aliganj campus in Lucknow. Going by his bio, the journalist is currently working for HT.
Another user wrote, "This year Civil Services AIR 1 Aditya Srivastava has been preparing since 2017.. If you work with honesty and devotion, success will come one day.. this is a shining example of it."
Another IAS aspirant wrote, "UPSC Final Result! Hearty congratulations and best wishes to first ranker Aditya Srivastava and all the successful candidates."
As per reports, Aditya hails from Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow and is an IIT Kanpur gold medalist. Aditya pursued both a BTech and MTech from IIT Kanpur. Aditya Srivastava completed his schooling at CMS Lucknow's Aliganj branch. He was a topper in Class 12 as well. He scored 95% marks. Let us tell you that Aditya Srivastava worked for Goldman Sachs for 15 months before he decided to quit and pursue UPSC. He wanted to work on the grassroots level and uplift the society.
Notably, many pointed out that the shared image is not of UPSC topper Aditya Srivastava. A user wrote, "Ye nahi hai he is shrivastav and rank 1 is Srivastava 19-20 ka fark hai"
Another user shared a post of an IAS examination institute.
Finally, Union Minister Jitendra Singh took to his X handle and shared UPSC toppers' pics. Jitendra Singh wrote, "Congratulations Aditya Srivastava, Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya Reddy, the first 3 toppers in #UPSC #CivilServicesExamination 2022 Final. A day of celebration also for all the others who have made it."
