Recently, an Indian TV actress, Asha Negi has revealed about her casting couch experience. She shared that one of the coordinators tried to brainwash her saying that every big television star has done it.
In an interview, Asha said, “Back then, there were coordinators. This was some coordinator during that time, some random guy. I ended up meeting. I'm glad that we met and he started talking about television, and I was in my early 20s. He was almost trying to brainwash me that this is what happens and this is how you will grow. He told me, jitne bhi bade TV actors hai, all have done it.” (All the big TV actors have done it.”)
Asha shared that she was not directly told to compromise, but she understood the intentions of the coordinator. She also revealed that she called one of her friends and informed him about this incident but he acted normal. She said, “I told him, ‘If this happens, then I'm not interested.’ My friend just said, ‘All this happens, it’s normal.’ He wasn’t shocked at all.”

Asha Negi is a 35-years-old Indian television actress. She has worked in multiple Hindi-language television productions. She is famous for playing the role of a character named Purvi in Deshmukh Kirloskar’s soap opera Pavitra Rishta.
She was born and brought up in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She was crowned Miss Uttarakhand in 2009. She then moved to Mumbai to pursue her career in acting. She came into a relationship with her Pavitra Rishta co-star Rithvik Dhanjani in 2013. She won the dance reality show, Nach Baliye 6 with her partner Rithvik Dhanjani. Unfortunately, they later broke up in 2020 after 7 years of dating.
Asha Negi had marked her debut into television productions with the role of Madhura in Sapno Se Bhare Naina in 2010. After that she was seen in Ekta Kapoor's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain playing the role of Apeksha Malhotra in 2011. She has also worked in a web series titled Alt Balaji's web series Baarish. She had participated in the reality show Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi 6th season.
