Baylen Dupree who is suffering from Tourette syndrome abused the NewsNation TV journalist Chris Cumo multiple times and the journalist was left in uncomfortable state knowing the fact that it was being done unintentionally. Who is Baylen Dupree?

 

Baylen Dupree is a 21-year TikToker from the United States of America. Baylen Dupree rose to social media fame after she started streaming and sharing her daily life on the Chinese app. To be precise, Baylen was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome in 2018 and ever since then, she often shares her videos on how she lives her life despite the neurological disorder. For the unversed,  Baylen Dupree is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by rapid, repetitive muscle tics and sounds. Baylen Dupree has reportedly over 9 million TikTok followers and she documents her life, educating people on what it’s like to live with the syndrome.

 

 

On Instagram, Bayleen too enjoys a good fan following. She has a total of 824K followers on Instagram. 

 

 

During her interview with Chris Cumo, Bayleen said, "I  want people to learn that Tourette’s is … a neurological involuntary motor and vocal disorder," adding, "There’s a lot of things that people don’t understand, like people think that cussing is (typical) with everyone who has Tourette syndrome, but it’s only in 10% of people with Tourette’s."

 

 

"I think there’s a lot more people that don’t understand what Tourette’s is and they like to educate their selves more, so I get thousands of DMs from parents, from teachers, from girls that have been diagnosed with Tourette’s and they’ve had to be kicked out of school for attention seeking because they rip up their homework or do things like that," Dupree said adding, "I also get very evil people … that have told me that my parents deserve to die in a car accident because I’m faking my condition."
