The Hyderabad Police on Friday revealed that the Hyderabad woman has been identified as Bhogireddy Trishna who operates a digital marketing business. As per the cops, Bhogireddy Trishna became obsessed with the TV anchor Pranav Sistla after she saw his photos on a matrimony website two years ago. As per reports, the woman became so obsessive about marrying Pranav that she even placed a tracking device on the TV anchor's car. Now, the question arises who is Bhogireddy Trishna and what is the entire case revolving around her and Pranav Sistla? Below is everything you need to know-
Who is Bhogireddy Trishna?
Bhogireddy Trishna, 31, works as a Marketing Director in a Digital Marketing company. Going by her LinkedIn profile, Bhogireddy Trishna is the CMO & Chief Digital Marketing Strategist. She did her MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.
Talking about the case, Trishna first saw Pranav's picture on a matrimonial website. Therefore, she first connected with the account holder two years ago after discovering the TV anchor's pictures on a marriage-related website. Eventually on, though, she discovered that the account holder had been using the TV anchor's picture rather than his own as the matrimony site profile picture. Meaning she soon discovered that the profile did not belong to Pranav.
Following that she looked through the profile and discovered the anchor's phone number. Upon contacting the anchor via an instant messaging app, she was notified that an unidentified individual had utilised his photo to create a fake account on the matrimony website. He also reported the incident to the Cyber Crime police station.
Still, Trishna kept on messaging Pranav. As per the cops, pissed by Trishna's obsession, Pranav blocked her number. Persistent in her desire to marry the TV anchor, she intended to abduct him with the hope of mediating a resolution.
As per the cops, Trishna then allegedly hired four people to kidnap the anchor and put a tracking device on the victim's vehicle so she could monitor his whereabouts. According to the police, Pravanv was abducted on February 11 by the four hired men, who then took him to the woman's office where they severely beat him.
Notably, the cops informed that Pravan was only released after responding to the woman's calls out of fear for his life. After Pravan was released, he filed a complaint with the Uppal police station, and the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 363 (kidnapping), 341 (wrongful restraint), and 342 (wrongful confinement) were cited in the case. The accused woman and the four men she hired to carry out the kidnapping were both taken into custody by the police during the investigation.
K Purushotham Reddy, ACP, Malkajgiri, was quoted saying, "A kidnapping case was registered in the Malkajgiri subdivision, under the Uppal police station by Pranav Sista, a software engineer and TV Anchor against a woman named Bogireddy Trishna who wanted to marry him. Pranav refused to marry her. The woman has been arrested by Uppal police and the search for others is underway. Using the technical evidence the case is registered and she will be sent to court."
