In a massive development, the Government of India on Monday declared Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar a terrorist. Goldy Brar who is wanted in multiple cases including the assassination of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala reportedly runs his cartel from Canada. Brar is considered to be a close associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who is currently lodged in a jail. As per reports, Brar has been declared a terrorist under UAPA. A notice issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs said Goldy Brar is associated with the banned Khalistani outfit Babbar Khalsa International. Recently, the MHA had declared Lakhbir Singh Landa a terrorist for his links with the same outfit. Now, the question arises who is Goldy Brar and what are his crimes?
Who is Goldy Brar?
Goldy Brar is a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi. Brar grabbed global headlines when he carried out the assassination of Punjabi singer & Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala. Hailing from Faridkot, Punjab, Goldy Brar's real name is Satinderjeet Brar. While Goldy Brar is wanted in many cases in India, he has also been named among the top 25 most wanted fugitives by Canada's BOLO program. It is pertinent to mention here that the Government of India has already issued a Red Corner Notice against Goldy, which means that he can be arrested and extradited from any country that is a member of Interpol.
Notably, in an interview with a news portal, Goldy Brar has confessed that he killed the Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala. Brar was quoted saying, "Sidhu Moose Wala was an egoistic person. He misused his political and money power. It was necessary to teach him a lesson, and he was taught one."
Not only this, Goldy Brar has made his intentions clear that he is planning to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan. Salman Khan is on the hit list of the Bishnoi gang. Lawrence Bishnoi has accused Salman Khan of hunting a deer that is considered sacred among the Bishnoi community.
On Salman Khan, Brar was quoted saying, "We will kill him, we will definitely kill him. Bhai saheb (Lawrence) had stated that he wouldn't apologise. Baba will show mercy only when he feels merciful." Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi said that the actor had hurt the sentiments of the Bishnoi community in 1998 after hunting a black buck had (which is considered sacred). He wished to avenge them by killing Khan.
