Former councilor Sukhmeet Singh aka Sukhmeet Deputy was gunned down by a group of unidentified men in broad daylight in Jalandhar on June 20.

Sukhmeet Deputy, who had come out on parole in an infamous Mikki abduction and ransom case, was supposed to go back to jail to complete his punishment term.

But fate had other plans for him.

According to deceased brother, Sukhmeet was sitting with his family and was sipping on tea when he received a call from an anonymous person asking him to join a birthday party.

Deputy left home in a rush and informed the family he will back after the cake cutting ceremony. However, when Sukhmeet reached the Gopal Nagar area, four men hit his motorbike followed by shooting bullets at him.

When Sukhmeet was rushed to the hospital he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

Moreover, Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has launched a probe in the Sukhmeet Deputy Murder case and is working on different angles to nab the accused.

What are the different cues to solve Sukhmeet Deputy Murder Mystery?

1. As Sukhmeet Deputy was lodged in the jail for quite  a period of time in Mikki abduction and ransom case, speculations are there that he might have developed enmity in jail.

Notably, Sukhmeet had shared an amicable bond with Babbu Neelkanth, Vicky Puri, Dinesh Dhall, however, when he was declared accused in the kidnapping case and was lodged in jail, he got estranged from them. But, as per the reports Sukhmeet is said to have established another circle inside the jail and he had a strong influence on other prisoners.

2. Another cue hints at his old enmity outside jail or a supari killing. When Sukhmeet was released on parole, an anonymous person could have been keeping track of his daily activities to find a suitable time and place to gun him down.

It is pertinent to mention here, while Sukhmeet was out on parole, he used to visit a property linker’s shop near Football Chowk, which had come on the most noticeable list of the hitman.

According to the CP Jalandhar, police would shortly get into the bottom of the case by nabbing the accused committed the crime.

The CP further added that the police have started probe using scientific and technical expertise to crack the case.
