After the success of the first two seasons, Bigg OTT is all set to return with its third season. However, even before the start of the reality, Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 has been hit by a massive jolt. Bollywood actor Salman Khan has parted ways from the controversial show as he is currently focusing on his upcoming movies. As per reports, Salman Khan is currently busy shooting his upcoming movie Sikander and therefore, he cannot spend much of his time hosting Bigg Boss OTT 3.
A source in the known development was quoted saying, "At the moment, Salman is focused on the prep work of his upcoming film, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. That is one the reasons he didn’t take on the hosting duties for the third season of Bigg Boss OTT. Salman is expected to start shooting for Sikandar in June, and that has made him let go of Bigg Boss OTT. Along with film commitment, Salman also felt that it would also look repetitive to the audience, as he is also known to host the reality show on TV".
Now, the question arises who will host Bigg Boss OTT 3?
The answer is Bollywood veteran actor Anil Kapoor. As per reports, 'Mr India' of Bollywood, Anil Kapoor is replacing Salman Khan as host of Bigg Boss OTT Season 3. Like its previous two seasons, Bigg Boss OTT 3 will be streaming on Jio Cinema. A source in the known development was quoted saying, "Anil Kapoor will be hosting the show this time, and bringing his own quirks and trademark wit” to the set.
Not only this, the makers have also dropped a hint that Anil Kapoor will be hosting Bigg Boss Season 3 in its promo. On Wednesday, Jio Cinema released a minute-long announcement promo on their official Instagram account, where they unveiled that Bigg Boss OTT will arrive next month in June. The promo ends with a voiceover saying, “Yeh season hoga khaas ekdum jhakaas”, with the term ‘jhakaas’ which is popularly associated with Anil.
Talking about Salman Khan's upcoming movie, Sikandar marks the reunion of Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala after their blockbuster collaborations in films like 'Kick', 'Judwaa', and 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi'. Sikander's director AR Murugadoss made his Hindi debut with 'Ghajini', which crossed Rs 100 crore at the box office. Murugadoss is famous for his 'no filter' approach. Even actor Aamir Khan talked about his straightforward behaviour at The Great Indian Kapil Show.
