Monu Manesar AKA Mohit Yadav is a Bajrang Dal leader and a cow vigilante. As per reports, Monu hails from Manesar, Gurugram. Monu Manesar rose to fame for his role as the chief of the Goraksha Dal, a cow protection task force unit of the Bajrang Dal in Haryana. Monu's modus operandi was his group used to receive a tip from the night shift workers who had suspicion on some vehicles. After the tip, Monu's job was to inform the Police. However, if the cops did not respond, then it was Monu who along with his group take matters into their hands, nabbing the suspects and handing them over to law enforcement. It is pertinent to mention here that Monu is accused of killing two men whom he believed were cow smugglers. As per reports, Nasir and Junaid, both residents of Ghatmeeka village in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, were allegedly abducted by cow vigilantes on February 15, and their bodies were found in a charred car in Loharu, Haryana's Bhiwani, the next day. Ever since then, Monu has been evading arrest. Coming to the Nuh violence, it is alleged that Monu released his video on social media saying that he would attend the Nuh religious procession. In the video, Monu also appealed to his supporters to come out in large numbers. He was later reportedly warned on social media to stay away. It is being said that Monu Manesar's participation rumor was one of the reasons that sparked the attacks on the religious procession.
