US tech giant Apple in its second major leadership change announced that Kevan Parekh will be the company's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Indian-origin Kevan Parekh will take the role of CFO in place of Luca Maestri, who has been appointed to a new role. Kevan Parekh currently holds the position of Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Apple. He will officially begin the role of CFO on January 1, 2025. Who is Kevan Parekh?
Based in Cupertino, California, Kevan Parekh's educational qualification is an amalgamation of both engineering and business. Going by his LinkedIn profile, Kevan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan. To further his business expertise, he pursued an MBA from the University of Chicago, a school renowned for its business programs. At 52 years old, Parekh has already made significant contributions to Apple. Since joining the company over a decade ago, he has become a key figure in its financial leadership team.
At first, Kevan started his professional career with General Motors where he was at Manager position in which looked Capital Market's NYT Treasurer office. Thereafter, he became Director of Business Development at the same officer.
Kevan then switched his company to Thompson Reuters where he was corporate treasurer and Vice President of Finance. Then, finally, for the last 11 years and 3 months, Kevan is working for Apple in Finance and Product Marketing. Currently holds Vice President Post in Apple. From January 1, 2025, Kevan will become the new CFO of Apple. In his current role, Parekh oversees essential areas such as Financial Planning and Analysis, G&A and Benefits Finance, Investor Relations, and Market Research.
