Mahalakshmi Bengaluru Murder Case Update: In what is called one of the most horrific cases in India, a 29-year-old woman named Mahalakshmi was chopped into 30 pieces and stored inside the fridge of her own rented house in Bengaluru. Mahalakshmi's chopped body parts were found in a refrigerator in Bengaluru on Saturday. The deceased's mother revealed that she came to know about the incident when her daughter's landlord called her to inform her about a foul smell coming from the house. Mahalakshmi was living in a one-bedroom apartment in Bengaluru's Vyalikaval area. She was married but was living separately from her husband. Mahalakshmi's husband has been identified as Hemant Das. The Bengaluru Police suspect that Mahalakshmi's murder took place about two-three days ago. Now, the question arises who was Mahalakshmi, what is the modus operandi of the case, and who are the suspects of Mahalakshmi's murder case?
Who is Mahalakshmi?
As per reports, Mahalakshmi, 29, worked as a team leader with a costume outlet in Malleshwaram and lived alone, at her rented house in Vinayaka Nagar in Vyalikaval. Her chopped body parts were found on Saturday by the Police. The police filed the case based on the complaint filed by Mahalakshmi’s mother Meena Rana. Mahalakshmi's chopped body parts pic has also been leaked on social media and it has horrified everyone who has seen the disturbing picture.
As mentioned above Mahalakshmi's husband is Hemant Das. However, they are living separately. Das separated from Mahalakshmi nine months ago and he owns a mobile shop. Hemant and Mahalakshmi have a daughter as well. Hemant revealed that Mahalakshmi would visit the shop monthly to see their daughter, with her last visit occurring 25 days before her tragic demise.
Bengaluru Mahalakshmi Murder Case Suspects
Police are probing into the names of four suspects in the case including a man named Ashraf. Mahalakshmi's family has named Ashraf, along with her colleagues Mukta, Shashidhar, and Sunil, as suspects in the case. The three colleagues reportedly had disputes with Mahalakshmi at work. Ashraf, originally from Uttarakhand, had a close relationship with Mahalakshmi and worked at a local salon.
Mahalakshmi's estranged husband Hemant Das also pointed his fingers at Ashraf. Das was quoted saying, "I suspect Ashraf, and I have filed a complaint against him in Nelamangala police station two years ago. Mahalakshmi had a friendship with him. I was aware of their relationship. I warned her too. I don't know much about Ashraf now."
It is pertinent to mention here that Mahalakshmi had filed a complaint against her husband Hemant Das in February claiming that he had assaulted her. In response, Hemant Das also filed a complaint against her, saying she was having an affair with another man. The police had taken a Non-Cognisable Report (NCR) and their family members had tried to defuse the fight between the couple.
