Indian Prime Minster Narendra Modi has turned 74 today. He has gained a lot of success in his political career. Modi was born on 17th September 1950. He got married to Jashodaben Modi in 1968. He had served as the Chief Minister of Gujrat from the year 2001 to 2014. PM Modi is the face of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). But before him, Lal Krishna Advani was the face of BJP.
Who is the Political Guru of PM Modi?
PM Narendra Modi considers Lal Krishna Advani as his political Guru. Previously, Narendra Modi was associated with RSS organisation since his childhood. His political activism began when he met Lal Krishna Advani. On 25th November 1990, Lal Krishna Advani organised Rath Yatra under his leadership.
This Rath Yatra got immense support from the public. In Gujrat, PM Modi himself worked as a coordinator of the Rath Yatra event. Narendra Modi became the charioteer of Lal Krishna Advani in the Rath Yatra journey.
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had once revealed that Advani had helped Modi. He said, “In 2002, Advani ji had saved Narendra Modi. The then prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had reminded Modi lesson of 'Raj Dharma' and wanted to remove him from the post of CM. However, only one person saved him and that was Advani in Goa.”
“On April 5, 2014 when Narendra Modi was going to file his nomination in Gandhinagar, LK Advani said some words of gold. He said Narendra Modi is not his disciple but a brilliant event manager. I am not using these words. Advani ji used these words about him. So, when I see both of them, I remember these two words,” Jairam further added.
LK Advani was also one of the key leaders involved in the Ram Temple movement. He had received Bharat Ratna as well. Lal Krishna Advani said, "With utmost humility and gratitude, I accept the 'Bharat Ratna' that has been conferred on me today. It is not only an honour for me as a person, but also for the ideals and principles that I strove to serve throughout my life to the best of my ability."
