Who is Poonam Gupta?
As mentioned above, CRPF's female Assistant Commandant Poonam Gupta is posted on the post of PSO (Personal Security Officer) of the current President Draupadi Murmu. Due to Poonam's good conduct and behaviour, President Draupadi Murmu is very impressed with her. At her request, the Mother Teresa Crown Complex of Rashtrapati Bhavan is being made available for Poonam's wedding. The event will be attended by a limited number of family members and close friends, with strict security checks in place for all attendees.
Talking about Poonam Gupta's educational qualification, she has a background in mathematics and English literature. As per reports, she also earned a B.Ed. from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. Poonam secured the 81st rank in the 2018 UPSC CAPF exam and joined the CRPF as an Assistant Commandant. Notably, she led the CRPF women's contingent during the Republic Day parade in 2024.
(Poonam Gupta Husband) Poonam Gupta will marry CRPF Assistant Commandant Avnish Kumar posted in Jammu and Kashmir. The ceremony will be held on February 12. People close to the family have said that Poonam lives in Shriram Colony of Shivpuri. She is the daughter of Raghuveer Gupta, Office Superintendent posted in Navodaya Vidyalaya.
