Mirzapur Actor Pankaj Tripathi’s brother-in-law and sister were involved in a fatal road accident on GT road near Nirsa Bazar in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad this Saturday. Tripathi’s brother-in-law, Rajesh Tiwari, sadly died in the hospital following the accident. Pankaj Tripathi’s sister, Sarita Tiwari is in critical condition and is undergoing treatment at the Dhanbad Medical College Hospital, as per reports. The accident took place at around 4.30 pm at Nirsa Bazar on the Delhi-Kolkata National Highway-2 when the car in which the couple was travelling hit a road divider.
Who was Rajesh Tiwari?
As per reports, Rajesh Tiwari, also known as Munna Tiwari, was Pankaj Tripathi's brother-in-law. He served in the Indian Railways and was stationed in Chittaranjan. He was on leave and had visited his home in Gopalganj. This accident happened while he was returning. Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi was also informed about the incident by his relatives.
According to reports, Rajesh and Sarita were travelling from Kamalpur in Bihar to Chittaranjan, West Bengal. Their speeding car hit the divider on the Delhi-Kolkata National Highway-2 just before the Nirsa Bazar. The car’s front was severely damaged with the hit. Both of them were rescued by the police and taken to the Dhanbad Medical College, where Rajesh was declared “brought dead” and Sarita was admitted to the ICU in critical condition.
