As per reports, four of his ex-disciples have sued Kalia saying that their former guru exerted "undue influence" by groping and raping them. The Sun UK quoted Mark Jone who is representing the claimants. Mark said, "This is an unusual case, where the claimants allege to have been wholly subject to the charismatic and forceful personality of Mr Kalia over decades.  He portrayed himself as an incarnation of God through the purported performance of miracles. The claimants' ability freely to consent to his demands for financial and sexual benefits was overridden. They were incapable of resisting."

They are demonstrably false, which makes them all the more puzzling....While I have always believed that everyone should be given a voice, this right must only be used fairly and responsibly. So, it is with great sadness that I sense an elaborate conspiracy to damage me within my community...The truth will soon out. Until then, I would like to thank all those who have helped sustain me and my family at this challenging time."
